Where has the honesty in music gone?

I was listening to Howl by Black Rebel Motor Cycle Club this dinner time which is a honest beautiful album. One where you can imagine the room dark lots of old rugs around maybe candles a bottle of JD while they sit on a stool. They have swapped electric guitars for acoustic shouting for soft melodic vocals but what shines through on a album like this is the honesty. One which can't be faked or fixed with pitch correction, surgical mixing and editing. This comes from a place where most record industry people have forgotten exist the heart, this is what should be keeping music alive not sales on iTunes or getting someone who has been manufactured barely a week before getting to number one on Christmas day. So next time you listen to a song or a album try and buy one with a heart, that was made with a passion and has a message of hope for music in this dark time BlogBooster-The most productive way for mobile blogging.
